Description
DL8M is the ideal solution for all environmental or structural moniotoring in which high resolution, velocity of implementation and low costs of system management are required, together with the greatest simplicity in management and processing acquired data. DLM8 allows to briefly and easily realize indipendent systems of monitoring whose acquired data are remotely accessible through the web due to integrated server.By the app, downloadable from DL8M management app store, it is possible to realize planning and local management of data logger through bluetooth connection with any smartphone or tablet. Through management app, it is possible to operate planning and local management of the instrument through bluetooth connection or GPRS / Ethernet remote connection.
DL8M data acquisition platform is characterized by:
– High resolution: 24 bit resolution and high level of repeatability of measuremets in any condition of operation, make DL8M ideal for the application in which high level of reliability and strenghts of instrument are required. High modularity which allows to configure, in a very simple way, simple monitoring systems, composed by single units for few sensors management, but also real monitoring network made up by many DL8M units connected in network creating a widespread network and configurable as desired for the number of units and different kind of dislocated sensors.
– Multiparameter: in fact it is possible to connect any type of sensor present on market and mostly used in monitoring structural applications as inclinometers and strain gauges.
– Compactness: DL8M instrument is a data logger designed for rapid and versatile use. This allow a very high savings in installation and data acquisition system startup phase, operation that becomes extremely easy and fast by the simple and very intuitive user interface which allows the operator to start data acquisition in few minutes with few simple connections.
– Connectivity: optional modules for GPRS and Ethernet communication allow displaying of acquired data in real time both numerically and graphically, on any device connected to internet by accessing to dedicated page available on MAE servers.
– Local and remote alarm management: instrument allows for each single sensor setting of alarm thresholds that when exceeded can send remote alarm signals with preconfigured modalities and locally activate signs of visual signaling, signs of danger, traffic light, flashing or acoustic signs as sirens or pre-recorded vocal messages. Reporting of possible threshold overcoming can be notified with SMS.
It is possible to install data logger also in remote or without current areas, supplying instrument and sensors with different power photovoltaic kit, to be sized according frequency of readings and absorption of sensors.
Methodologies
LOAD TESTS
The load tests have the primary objective to compare the experimental arrows obtained during the testing phase and the theoretical arrows of the project, in order to evaluate the deformation profile of the element tested. The test loads used can be distributed (bricks, blocks or cement bags, water tanks) or similar concentrates (hydraulic jacks). The tests that use similar concentrated loads can be of pull or push test type. the result of the load tests and elastic behaviour of the structure is represented through load/shift graphs and hysteresis curves. The measurement of the shifts and deformations can be taken with manual systems, such as mechanical comparators or deflectometers or with automatic-electric systems, such as movement transducers (resistive, inductive, potenziometric). The use of these electric systems allows continuous, stable and precise readings that can be transmitted also far away from the relative testing area. Rapidity of execution, accuracy and safety make this system the most diffused one nowadays, in the test and trial sector.
CRACK MONITORING
The different stresses and instabilities a building goes through over the years or the effects of deterioration of one or more structural elements, usually cause cracks which are visible on the walls surfaces and invisible inside them. The so-called cracking is usually generated by strong tractions or frictions that can either weaken or, in some cases, cancel the tensile strength of the building’s structural elements, causing in that way, more or less evident breakages with geometries that allow to trace the origin of the damage. Over the years the importance of both monitoring and continuous study through appropriate instruments for data acquisition and signal alarms, allowed to both monitor the building’s condition and provide a prompt signals warning in case of violation of the safety thresholds, singularly determined for each position or inclination sensor. The automatic management of the values reading of the sensors (where intervals and modes are set by the user), the ability to self manage local alarms connected to sirens, traffic lights etc., the simplicity of the remote-control data management at any time and from anywhere, make the present data acquisition systems the best possible solution in the remote-control monitoring and management of active alarms in buildings with problems of cracking.
