THINK BIG RIGHT FROM THE START.! ......Don't be restricted to only 24 channels as most Seismic manufacturers have created the culture to keep you purchasing multiple 24 channel units. In a way it's not affordable and retards your career growth keeping in small seismic jobs.

With a Dolang telemetry system, you can start with 12 or 24 channels today, however the seismograph is designed to operate up to 1000 channels. You just have to purchase more geophone units.

This unique ability to expand a system to specific need grants you so much leverage and versatility to grow your business from small 24 channel refraction surveys to bigger jobs without huge capital investment into new bigger system but gradually expanding an existing system.

Sparker is a marine seismic source, which generates acoustic signal by discharging an electrical pulse and is typically used for high-resolution (HR), ultra-high-resolution marine seismic surveys and VSP. Typically, sparkers are used in marine seismic acquisitions in seas and oceans, as salt water is a good current conductor. Salt Water Sparkers (SWS) of various configurations are available for this purposes. Fresh Water Sparkers (FWS) is a series of sparkers, which are specifically designed to work in fresh waters due to special containers with embedded multi-tip groups. Deep Water Sparkers (DWS) series is developed to ensure operations away from the surface and perfectly suited for deep-towed marine surveys and VSP.

SWS, FWS and DWS multi-tip sparkers with MultiJack energy source and HRStreamer provide state-of-art HR/UHR marine seismic acquisition solution, which can be used over a wide water depth range – starting from very shallow up to deepest Earth regions.

All type of sparkers produce high repeatable broadband signal, suitable for any type of HR/UHR seismic surveys with vertical resolution up to 30 cm such as geohazard seismic assessment, detailed stratigraphic studies, platform site surveys, windfarm surveys, oceanography studies. Frequency content of emitted signal can be adjusted by number of tip levels and energy per electrode, participating in the shot generation.

High durability of electrodes guaranteed by negative discharge technology used in MultiJack energy sources, which is typically referred to a non-wearing technology, preserving electrodes over a long time period.

Typical sparker systems are built with coaxial wires, assuming 10 J energy per tip as the optimal shooting mode. We have developed special sparker electrodes from unique material to acquire data with higher possible energies per tip, without any harmful consequences. This technology allows to reduce central frequency of the sparker by increasing energy per electrode, in case if deeper penetration is needed.

It can also be used for towed sparker system – while towing deeper, frequency content of the signal will be higher due to increase of hydrostatic pressure. This effect can be compensated by increasing energy per tip, keeping frequency range in spec.

Full acquisition setup includes towed HV power coaxial cable, MultiJack energy source, towed hydrophone array HRStreamer and seismograph. Additionally, deck winches for HV cable and streamer with slip ring can be purchased to provide fast and safe deployment and recovery of UHR marine equipment during field operations.

Geodevice offers a full range of modern acquisition equipment, suitable for high resolution subsurface imaging. Complexity and variability of state-of-the-art shallow seismic data acquisition requires adequate processing approaches. RadExPro seismic processing software is fully capable for advanced single channel, multichannel, 2D, 3D high-resolution (HR) and ultra-high-resolution (UHR) marine data processing.

Geodevice team is ready for cooperation and developing customized equipment for special customer’s needs and ideas.

Please, contact us for generating the most suitable high resolution marine acquisition setup for your purposes.
MultiJack is a unique energy source with the fastest charging rate available on the market, which results in possibility to acquire marine seismic profiles with the highest possible trace density and lateral resolution, correspondingly.

In addition to the standard mode of operation with a single source, MultiJack energy sources can be combined in an array to implement the latest shooting technologies:

Flip-flop mode

Multi-level source

Simultaneous source

Coded shooting

Flip-flop shooting became an industry standard acquisition technique for 3D oil and gas surveys, while still seldom used in shallow seismic projects. Our MultiJack sources support flip-flop shooting mode to improve efficiency and ready to serve seismic parties, who are on the leading edge of marine engineering seismic acquisitions.

The use of multilevel sources allows to achieve a pre-defined source directivity, with modifying the source signature shape and its spectral characteristics. The application of multilevel sources in conjunction with impulse-code sequences makes it possible to use a ghost wave as a source of useful signal.

An important feature of MultiJack system while working in an array is its exceptional simplicity — all units are controlled by a single MultiJackPad remote control, which allows to set up and monitor all valuable parameters remotely. This is a unique solution on the market, which allows completely separate high voltage blocks from instrument room equipment. Acquisition with MultiJackPad is safer than ever.

MultiJack energy sources are balanced by the maximum pulse energy and charge rate so that it is guaranteed to provide standard observation steps at a typical vessel speed of 3–5 knots.

Towed LandStreamer is a receiver array, specifically designed for land seismic surveys. Towed techniques for land shallow seismic acquisitions significantly increase the efficiency and reduce the cost of the survey. Such methods as reflection, MASW, refraction would highly benefit from using towed streamer, comparing to the streamer with geophones, planted in the ground.

Although, highest data quality can be achieved by dragging the streamer on solid terrains, such as roads or runways, it can also be used in the more complex conditions, such as sandy dirt roads.

The design of the streamer is exceptionally robust and easy-to-use. Steel plate with additional legs ensures the required coupling for ground motion registration. Any type of geophones can be used with the LandStreamer – vertical, horizontal, horizontal compensated, multicomponent (3C).

LandStreamer is compatible with any multi-channel seismograph and can be manufactured with the required number of receivers and the step between them. An important feature of the design is the ability to quickly disconnect the seismic receivers from the platform.

Detailed Description

BGW is specifically designed for seismic acquisitions in relatively deep wells, when cable and borehole equipment weight do not allow to perform convenient and safe operations.

Even with a borehole depth of 100 m, a standard coaxial wire line of a 10 mm2 cross section will weigh several tens of kilograms. At depths of several hundred meters, the use of a power cable with a large cross section of the core is required to balance the energy loss at the ohmic resistance – work with such a line is possible only with the use of BGW winch.

Depending on the acquisition type, BGW can be equipped with high-voltage or low-voltage multicore sliding contacts to ensure the operation of the Pulse downhole sparker or WellStreamer and GStreamer downhole recording systems. A powerful electric gear motor allows you to adjust the speed of rotation of the winch drum and fix the equipment at the desired depth. In case of a power cutoff, manual winch operations can be performed. Additional convenience of work is provided by a universal manual winch roller and an integrated counterweigh with a wide range of adjustments for various wellheads.

BGW dimensions and the detachable counterweight with the winch roller make its transportation easy and allow you to perform field operations with a stationary winch in the back of a pickup truck, trailer or minibus.
